Connecticut Archery Association

Join us for the 2020 CAA/NFAA State Field Archery Championship

Sunday, July 19 at the Nye Holeman State Archery Range (River Road, Tolland, CT)

Field archery is the most challenging of all archery disciplines, and also the most fun. This year, we are happy to be one of the few remaining shoots presenting the (probationary) new NFAA Field round. This shorter round (72 arrows vs the old round of 112) is meant to keep the heart and challenge of the classic field round, while reducing the time needed to complete the round.

Archers must be current CAA/NFAA (or USA Archery) members. Max distance shot = 65yds

The "Socially-Distanced" details:

Archers must pre register, online, for an assigned start time (no walk-in registration allowed) Groups of no more than 4 archers will start at target 1 at their assigned start time. Groups are staggered every 20 minutes to avoid any back-ups on the course. Archers within a group of 3 or 4 will be required to shoot as 2 lines, so that 6 ft distancing can be kept at all times while shooting. Archers are required to keep their own score, and pull their own arrows. Archers are also asked not to arrive more than 40 minutes early for their assigned start time, to avoid crowds at the practice bales.
