About the CAA

The CAA is proud to be affiliated with the National Field Archery Association, a nationally organized archery association with over 14,000 members that supports all types of competitive archery, and bowhunting. The NFAA provides archery for everyone via 49 chartered state organizations and 1000+ affiliated clubs in the U.S. and abroad; Indoor, Outdoor, Field, and Target or 3D, amateur or pro the NFAA has something for every archer.

The CAA has NFAA-sanctioned tournaments throughout the year, indoors and outdoors, providing recreation, hunting practice and competitive enjoyment for the entire family. Member clubs host many 3D and Field archery events most Sundays, and a few Saturdays during the year. We hope that all archers will take advantage of our many shooting events by attending shoots at CAA affiliated clubs- CAA member clubs boast some of the most beautiful and challenging archery ranges in New England.

The CAA hosts 5 State Championships annually; Indoor Open (20 Yards/450 Vegas Round), NFAA Indoor (20 yards/300 Round), Outdoor Open (122 cm target @ 60,50,40 yards/600 round), NFAA Field (28 Target Field Round), and 3D. NFAA Indoor and Field tournaments are open to competitive archers who are NFAA/CAA members. The Indoor Open, Outdoor Open and 3D championship are open to all competitors. Please support Connecticut archery by attending the State Championships, member club tournaments, and most importantly with a NFAA/CAA membership. An annual NFAA membership is $45, includes a CAA membership, entitles the member to compete in State, Sectional, and National level Tournaments, and receive a 1 year subscription to Archery magazine. A CAA non-competitive membership is available for $10 yearly. To become a member of the NFAA or CAA you may download a membership application here: NFAA or CAA Membership Application.
